Estimado Mauro,

muchas gracias por su intensidad en su contribución a esta discusión. Lo 
sé, tenemos antecedentes muy diferentes y, por lo tanto, opiniones muy 
diferentes sobre lo que necesitamos y cómo podemos crearlo.

Infraestructuras técnicas

Con sus últimos correos electrónicos veo que estamos de acuerdo en esta 
pregunta. Necesitamos que estos entornos sean técnicamente activos.

Reuniones y conferencias

Soy muy escéptico con esta forma de actividades. Sobre todo es una gran 
pérdida de recursos. Viajes, hoteles, precios de entrada, tiempo. Usted 
también actúa en ISOC. Para mí, todas estas reuniones de ISOC son 
eventos de teatro. ¿Por qué deberíamos hacer esto en nuestro entorno 
también?

Es muy diferente seguir un discurso de una persona en una conferencia o 
visitar su entorno en su espacio local. Si conoces el proyecto de la 
FLOK (Free/Libre Open Knowledge) sociedad en Ecuador, entonces tal vez 
entiendas, de lo que hablo.

Quiliro escribió sobre muy claro. Organizemos nuestra interacción a 
través de grandes distancias geográficas con las telecomunicaciones. 
Entonces la gente puede actuar en su entorno local y podemos 
intercambiar todo, lo que es importante para nosotros. Pero es claro, 
sin un sistema de telecomunicaciones, será imposible.

Ideas y actividades

Esta pregunta nunca se refleja. ¿Cuál es la condición para nuestras 
actividades? Necesitamos un punto de destino antes. Necesitamos nuestras 
perspectivas y visión. Yo estaba muy emocionado cuando leí en sus 
textos, que tenemos que crear estas infraestructuras técnicas cuando las 
necesitamos. Sí, esta es la manera correcta.

Pero estas perspectivas de largo plazo sólo podemos crear con nuestras 
investigaciones personales y debates colectivos. No es útil ser activo 
sin saber, en qué dirección. Para mí, esta es la gran deficiencia en los 
grupos FSF. Extrema en FSFde y FSFeu. En los archivos encontramos 
principalmente los temas para negocios privados con open software, 
patentes y derechos de licencia y reuniones. Pero no los núcleos. ¿Cómo 
podemos crear Software Libre para Hardware Cerrado y cuáles son las 
consecuencias?

Sabemos que, como activistas cooperativos y globales, somos incapaces de 
actuar sin un sistema de telecomunicaciones fuerte y libre. Es una 
condición para nosotros. Lo necesitamos, que toda la gente en cualquier 
localización en cualquier región pueda paticipate. Lo necesitamos para 
descentralizar las capacidades de tecnología libre y software libre.

Tecnología libre y sus condiciones estructurales

En nuestro tiempo, la tecnología está dominada por intereses privados 
para la acumulación de capital. También en las telecomunicaciones. Pero 
actuamos para la tecnología libre y por lo tanto para la 
telecomunicación libre en forma de una Internet. Esto significa, que nos 
movemos nuestro enfoque a las comunidades locales. Todas nuestras 
actividades en este espacio se basan en las actividades en las 
comunidades locales.

FSFla es el espacio para nuestra interacción de red en América Latina. 
Es el espacio regional de muchos locales Tecnología Libre/Software 
Libre. Es el espacio para el intercambio regional de propuestas, ideas y 
experiencias.

Las preguntas son siempre, cómo vemos este proceso. Como proceso 
centralizado con coordinadores, moderadores y concentradores o como un 
espacio de actores locales en un entorno de red.

Si seguimos la primera orientación, podemos seguir sus propuestas. Si 
seguimos la segunda orientación, podemos seguir las propuestas de 
Quiliro y Galleguindio (y la mía). Y para ambos, también de otros. Para 
mí, es imposible organizar compromisos entre estas dos orientaciones 
filosóficas. Puede existir en paralelo, por supuesto. Y en nuestra vida, 
siempre existe en paralelo. Pero en los conceptos, no hay puente. Los 
puentes que encuentras en la gente. Actúan en estos espacios diferentes, 
dependen de sus necesidades.

Sabemos que esta falta de infraestructura técnica en América Latina es 
un resultado construido. Basado en la doctrina de Monroe, América Latina 
tiene que ser un mercado de consumo y material de fila entregar y no un 
espacio para la creatividad autocontrolada. Y muchos grupos en América 
Latina se benefician de eso. Por lo tanto, lo organizaron.

Los movimientos pseudo-izquierdos en América Latina no son útiles para 
eso. Vemos la misma mierda como alrededor. Pero encontramos algunos 
principios básicos dentro. Una de ellas son las ideas de Infocentros y 
los nodos para el desarrollo de la tecnología libre en Venezuela. Si 
extendemos el Infocentro con laboratorios de hardware tenemos eso, lo 
que necesitamos. Y si nos damos cuenta de la red de nodos para el 
desarrollo de la tecnología libre podemos crear nuestra red de 
infraestructuras técnicas locales.

En estos temas actuamos contra el interés por la centralización de los 
actores estatales buerocráticos. Tienes que decidirte a ti mismo, de qué 
lado actuarás.

i thank you very much for your intensity in your contribution to this 
discussion. I know, we have very different backgrounds and therefore 
very different views about, what we need and how we can create it.

technical infrastructures

With your last emails I see that we agree in this question. We need 
these environments to be technically active.

meetings and conferences

I am very sceptic with this form of activities. Mostly it is a big waste 
of resources. Travel, hotels, prices for entry, time. You act also in 
ISOC. For me, all this meetings from ISOC are theater events. Why we 
should do this in our environment too?

It is very different to follow one speech of a person on a conference or 
to visit their environment in her local space. If you know the FLOK 
(Free/Libre Open Knowledge) society project in Ecuador, then maybe you 
understand, about what i speak.

Quiliro wrote about very clear. Let us organise our interaction over big 
geografical distances with telecommunication. Then the people can act in 
her local environment and we can exchange all, what is important for us. 
But is clear, without a telecommunication system, it will be impossible.

ideas and activities

This question you never reflect. What is the condition for our 
activities? We need a destination point before. We need our perspectives 
and vision. I was very excited when I read in your texts, that we have 
to create these technical infrastructures when we need them. Yes, this 
is the correct way.

But this long time perspectives we can only create with our personal 
researches and collective debates. It is not helpful to be active 
without to know, in what direction. For me, this is the big deficiency 
in the FSF groups. Extreme in FSFde and FSFeu. In the archives we found 
mostly the themes for private business with Open Source Software, 
patents and licence rights and meetings. But not the cores. How we can 
create Free Software for Closed Hardware and what are the consequences?

We know, that we as cooperative and global activists we are unable to 
act without a strong and free telecommunication system. It is a 
condition for us. We need it, that all people in any location in any 
region can paticipate. We need it to decentralise the capacities for 
free technology and free software.

free technology and his structural conditions

In our time, technology is dominated from private interests for capital 
accumulation. Also in the telecommunications. But we act for free 
technology and therefore for free telecommunication in form of a 
InterNet. This means, that we move our focus to the local communities. 
All our activities in this space is based on the activities in the local 
communities.

FSFla is the space for our network interaction in Latin America. It is 
the regional space of many local Free Technology / Free Software spaces. 
It is the space for regional exchange of proposals, ideas and experiences.

The questions are always, how we see this process. As a centralised 
process with coordinators, moderators and concentrators or as a space of 
local actors in a network environment.

If we follow the first orientation, we can follow your proposals. If we 
follow the second orientation, we can follow the proposals of Quiliro 
and Galleguindio (and mine). And for both, also from others. For me, it 
is impossible to organise compromises between this two philosophical 
orientations. It can exist in parallel, of course. And in our life, 
always it exist in parallel. But in the concepts, there is no bridge. 
The bridges you find in the people. They act in this different spaces, 
depend on her needs.

We know, this lack of technical infrastructures in Latin America is a 
constructed result. Based on the Monroe doctrine, Latin America have to 
be a consumer market and row material deliver and not a space for 
selfcontrolled creativity. And many groups in Latin America benefits 
from that. Therefore they organised it.

The pseudo-left movements in Latin America are not helpful for that. We 
see the same shit like around. But we find some basic principles inside. 
One of that are the ideas of Infocentros and the nodes for development 
of free technology in Venezuela. If we extend the Infocentro with 
hardware labs we have that, what we need. And if we realise the network 
of nodes for development of free technology we can create our network of 
local technical infrastructures.

In this themes we act against the interest for centralisation of the 
buerocratic state actors. You have to decide self, on what side you will 
act.
