[FSFLA] UK to "end" encryption?

I think I know what Mx. D wants to say:

The issue is that the discussion list for FSFE isn't really focused on
encryption and security in the direct sense.

They may be if it involves problems for free/libre software, but without
clear link/connection, there is room for that unrelated topic to be
disaligned with the list's main purpose.

I don't speak for the FSF, but I see it the following way: Some people
frequently approach people at the #fsf channel (not all of them are from
FSF), asking why they don't support *all* EFF's campaigns, and the
people who answer say that not all EFF's campaigns are related to FSF's
mission. They do contribute to some, but not *all*.
