Installing firmware

This is for 3.6.6.

What is the kosher way of installing the firmware? When I run

make INSTALL_MOD_PATH=$PKG INSTALL_FW_PATH=$PKG/lib/firmware modules_install

I get av7110 and keyspan_pda installed. When I run

make INSTALL_FW_PATH=$PKG/lib/firmware firmware_install

I *also* get dsp56k installed. So either way, most of the firmware from
firmware/ does not get installed. Is that OK or am I doing something wrong?
